James Beer

James Beer is the Chief Executive Officer of Qu Data Centres and a seasoned technology executive with nearly 30 years of senior leadership experience across North American data centre, cloud, and cybersecurity landscapes. With deep expertise in scaling recurring revenue businesses, James has led national operations, strategic M&A integrations, and major infrastructure builds, including multi-megawatt enterprise and high-performance computing environments. Known for his customer-first mindset and operational precision, James has overseen national teams across product, engineering, sales, IT, and compliance — with a proven track record in driving growth, building resilient organizations, and navigating complex transformations. He has played a pivotal role in data centre transactions and remains active in shaping the next generation of mission-critical digital infrastructure in North America.

Melanie Pump

Melanie Pump

Melanie Pump is the Chief Financial Officer of Qu Data Centres, bringing deep expertise in accounting and finance from her role as Director of Financial Operations for Cogeco Peer 1 Data Centres, where she oversaw financial operations across a global portfolio of facilities. With experience spanning critical infrastructure, software, and digital assets, Melanie brings a unique financial lens to operationally intensive, tech-forward businesses, serving as CFO of Incognito Software, a telecom-focused software company owned by Constellation Software, CFO of Polymath, a pioneer in real-world asset tokenization and blockchain-based securities, and CFO of Brane Trust Company, a digital asset custodian. She currently serves as a Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of BTCS, a Nasdaq-listed company focused on Ethereum staking and blockchain infrastructure.

Jin Shin

Jin Shin

Jin Shin is General Counsel of Qu Data Centres and an experienced technology and privacy lawyer specializing in complex B2B transactions relating to digital infrastructure services, cloud services, data security, SaaS, and FINTECH. His practice at Qu focuses on enabling business growth while mitigating against operational risks through strategic legal support across multi-disciplinary teams. Jin has negotiated major deals with global enterprises such as Microsoft, Nasdaq, and Oracle; and is known for his business-centric pragmatic approach. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B a/k/a JD) from the University of Windsor and is passionate about technology.
