Two paths to Canadian sovereign cloud.

Whether you need dedicated isolation or a cost-effective shared environment, both options run inside Qu's own Canadian Tier III facilities - managed by Qu's own team, under Canadian jurisdiction.

Private Cloud

Single-tenant IaaS - fully dedicated

A dedicated, non-shared cloud infrastructure deployment built to your specification. Your own compute, storage, and switching environment - isolated from other customers, fully managed by Qu's system administrators. Enterprise architecture with built-in resiliency, predictable performance, and a steady monthly operating cost with minimal upfront capital.

  • Single-tenant - fully dedicated compute, storage, and switching
  • Hardware stack scoped and built to specification
  • Fully managed and operated by Qu system administrators
  • SOC 2 Type II compliant infrastructure and managed services practice
  • Predictable monthly operating cost - no large upfront capital
  • Integrates with Qu backup, DRaaS, and object storage
  • Greater flexibility to integrate with your own IT services

Virtual Private Cloud

Multi-tenant VPC - cost-effective entry

A multi-tenant virtual private cloud platform where compute, memory, and storage resources are provisioned to your virtual data centre. Scale resources quickly without hardware procurement. The cost-effective path to Canadian cloud infrastructure with the security and compliance of Qu's Tier III facilities. Available in Calgary, Toronto, and Ottawa.

  • Compute, memory, and storage provisioned to your virtual data centre
  • Scale resources quickly - no hardware procurement required
  • Provision workloads through a self-service portal
  • Hosted in Qu Tier III facilities - Calgary DC3, Toronto DC3, Ottawa DC3
  • Canadian data sovereignty - your data stays in Canada
  • Integrates with Qu backup, DRaaS, and object storage
  • Lower cost than Private Cloud due to shared infrastructure

Cloud that is sovereign by structure, not by claim.

Hyperscaler cloud is flexible, scalable, and globally available. It is also operated by US-incorporated companies subject to the US CLOUD Act. When a US court compels a US cloud provider to produce data - regardless of where the server sits - they must comply. Qu's cloud is different by structure, not by contract.

Hosted in Canada - All cloud infrastructure runs inside Qu's own Canadian Tier III data centres. Your data does not leave Canadian soil.
Owned by Canadians - Qu is 100% Canadian-owned. There is no US parent company. No foreign court can compel Qu to produce your data under the CLOUD Act.
Operated by Canadians - 130+ Canadian employees manage every facility. No offshore operations centre. No remote management from a foreign jurisdiction.
Certified for regulated industries - SOC 2 Type II, SOC 1 Type II, ISO 27001, HIPAA, CSAE/ISAE - the certifications that financial services, healthcare, and government procurement teams require.

Hyperscaler cloud in Canada

AWS, Azure, and GCP have Canadian regions. They also have US-incorporated parent companies. Under the US CLOUD Act, US authorities can compel those companies to produce customer data stored anywhere in the world - including Canadian facilities. A Canadian server address does not equal Canadian sovereignty.

Qu cloud

Hosted in Canada. Owned by Canadians. Operated by Canadians. No foreign parent in the ownership chain. No foreign court can compel Qu to disclose or transfer your data. Sovereignty is a structural fact - not a marketing commitment.

In 2025, Microsoft's Director of Public and Legal Affairs was asked before the French Senate if client data in EU facilities could be protected from US authorities. The answer: "No, I cannot guarantee it." Qu can.

The elasticity of cloud. The sovereignty of Canadian infrastructure.

Most Canadian organizations choosing cloud face a trade-off between flexibility and sovereignty. Qu removes that trade-off.

Integrated with your colocation

Qu cloud services are designed to sit alongside colocation under a single commercial agreement. Add VPC or Private Cloud to your colocated environment without changing vendor, negotiating a new contract, or managing a separate billing relationship. The infrastructure is already in the same building.

Managed by the team that built it

Qu's Private Cloud is not a resold hyperscaler product. It is infrastructure scoped, built, and managed by Qu's own system administrators in Canadian facilities. The people who manage your cloud are the same people who manage the building it runs in.

Layered protection with Qu's managed services

VPC and Private Cloud both integrate with Qu's backup, DRaaS via Zerto, and object storage. Add protection layers as your requirements grow - all under Canadian jurisdiction, without pulling in a third-party provider.

Cloud questions - answered

The questions IT teams and procurement leads ask when evaluating sovereign Canadian cloud options.

Private Cloud is a single-tenant, fully dedicated environment - your own compute, storage, and switching, built to spec, with no shared resources. VPC is a multi-tenant platform where resources are provisioned to your virtual data centre on shared infrastructure at a lower cost. Both run inside Qu's Canadian Tier III facilities and integrate with Qu managed services.
All Qu cloud infrastructure runs inside Qu's own Canadian data centres. VPC is currently available in Calgary (CGY3), Toronto (TOR3), and Ottawa (OTT3). Private Cloud can be deployed in any Qu facility based on your requirements.
Yes. Qu's cloud infrastructure and managed services practice is SOC 2 Type II compliant. Qu's facilities additionally hold SOC 1 Type II, ISO 27001, HIPAA, CSAE/ISAE, and PCI DSS certifications - the documentation that financial services, healthcare, and government procurement teams require before approving a cloud vendor.
Yes. All Qu cloud infrastructure is hosted within Canadian data centres. Qu is 100% Canadian-owned, which means your data is subject exclusively to Canadian law. There is no US parent company that can be compelled under the CLOUD Act to disclose or transfer your data - a structural fact of ownership, not a contractual promise.
Yes. Qu cloud services are designed to integrate directly with your colocated infrastructure. Because both run inside the same Qu facilities, connectivity between cloud and colocated environments is low-latency and does not traverse the public internet. Both can sit under a single commercial agreement.
Qu's own system administrators manage Private Cloud infrastructure end-to-end. This is not a resold hyperscaler product with third-party management. The hardware is scoped, built, and operated by Qu staff in Canadian facilities under Canadian jurisdiction.
